Before Your Treatment (Pre-Care)

To ensure the best results and minimize any risk of irritation, please follow these guidelines:

🌸 Avoid retinol, tretinoin, and exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) for at least 5-7 days before treatment. These ingredients can increase skin sensitivity.
🌸 Discontinue any blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin, ibuprofen) 3-5 days prior, if medically approved.
🌸 Stay out of direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least one week. Sunburned/ tanned skin cannot be treated.
🌸 Hydrate well! Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
🌸 If prone to cold sores, take an antiviral medication as prescribed by your doctor to prevent an outbreak.

After Your Treatment (Post-Care)

Your skin will be slightly red and sensitive after RF microneedling—this is normal and temporary. Follow these steps for a smooth recovery:

🌸 For the first 24 hours:

  • Avoid touching your face unnecessarily.

  • Do not apply makeup, SPF, or skincare products unless recommended by your provider.

  • Keep skin clean and hydrated with a gentle, soothing serum or moisturizer.

🌸 For the first 72 hours:

  • No retinol, exfoliants, or active skincare (including vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs, and benzoyl peroxide).

  • Avoid excessive sweating (exercise, saunas, hot showers) to prevent irritation.

  • Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating serum to support skin recovery.

  • Drink plenty of water to aid healing.

🌸 For one week:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily (even indoors).

  • No facials, waxing, or harsh treatments on the area.

  • Skin may feel dry or rough as it heals—do not pick or exfoliate.

Most clients notice glowing, firmer skin within a few weeks, with continued improvements as collagen builds. Your provider will recommend a customized treatment plan based on your skin goals.
